It's the dawning of a brand new age
Time to step ahead and turn the page
Seize the moment and take center stage
Sing an encore... one more time!

Are you planning a senior open house this summer? Do you want to invite all your friends from choir? Why not advertise on the MerrillvilleChoir.com calendar! Send it to us and we'll list it on the calendar within a couple of days. Also, if you'd like to have your birthday listed, feel free to submit that as well. We'll put nearly everything we're sent online, so submit your calendar item today!
Also... Are you interested in an @MerrillvilleChoir.com e-mail address? MerrillvilleChoir e-mail accounts can be checked using a web interface here on the choir page, or by using a typical e-mail client from your house. Students (including graduating seniors), booster members, active alumni, and staff are all eligible to get an address. If you're intested, request an e-mail account today so you can get the name you want before it's taken.
Let me know if you have any questions about either of these two new services being provided by MerrillvilleChoir.com. --Tom

Spring Concert.... Rock the Jukebox! |

Congratulations to all the choir students on a wonderful performance at last night's spring concert! You all should really be proud to be part of one of the best shows the choir has done yet. Also, a big thank you goes out to all the people who helped (both students and parents) with setting up stages, gelling lights, building screens, painting diamonds, and doing all the other hard work that's necessary to produce a show of this quality. Your work is greatly appreciated and you have made the show much better because of the time you invested.
Pictures from the concert should be posted sometime next week. (Hopefully I'll have time.) Also, if anyone has any pictures for the choir memories video, to be shown at the banquet next Tuesday, they need to send me the pictures this weekend.
Once again, congratulations. You're part of the only organization I know of in this area that does shows anything like this. And I'm proud of you.

On Saturday, April 12, 2003, the Merrillville High School Music Department hosted the Indiana State Music Association District Organizational Festival. The Choral Program was held at Pierce Middle School. Twenty one choirs participated in the all day program.
The following students volunteered their time as choir guides, door monitors and judge's assistants: Aimee Street, Casey Sieb, Evangelina Rojo, Jacqueline Hartford, Jenni Festa, Felice Graves, Victoria McGee, Randy Johnson, Jennifer Mustafa, Christine Aloia, Ben Graves, Kyle Loudermilk, Keith Eaton, Andrea Rainaldi, Amanda Brunn, Missy Paniaguas, Nolan Buck, Jeff Zweig, Berverly Munchenburg, Melanie Mangrum, Nicole Murphy, Sam Yurechko, Lauren Rees, Ineke McMillan, Kelly Simanson and Elexas Wise. Several parents also gave up their Saturday to help: Mrs. Pat Szot, Mrs. Beverly Street, Mrs. Linda Ramos, Mrs. Debbie Johnson, Mrs. Deb Elser, Mrs. Dawn Rees, Mrs. Eleanor Naglosky and Mrs. Mary Kennedy.
Thank you to everyone for all of your assistance! The contest went very well and it was a pleasure to hear other excellent choirs from Northwest Indiana. Because of these volunteers, we have once again proven that Merrillville Choirs have the BEST students and parents!!
