I believe that the person who wrote this comment was R.T., and to her, I say shut up. Vocalteens are pretty good this year, but there are also some people in it that think they are really good, but actually are not. (Hint hint)

To whom it may concern,
Before you further assume that you know everything and decide to announce things that are in fact not true, let me inform you that it was not me who posted the "Vocalteens are the Best" comment which has caused so much angst amongst choir members. (If the "R.T." was referring to someone else, please disregard this message) If you take a closer look at the post, you'll see that a question was ended with a period; a word was misspelled; and it was posted in a fancy, girly font, which takes more effort than I'm willing to give to a post on the choir website. All of these things are unlike myself, and would probably lead most to the conclusion that I am not the guilty party. I find it unnecessary for you to insult me first by suggesting that I'm the person who posted the comment, and secondly by saying I'm not at all "good," even though I think I am. I don't think I'm better than everyone, even though you feel differently, but I have worked my tail end off to be where I am in choir, and I'm not now nor will I ever be ashamed of that. I'm sorry you feel the need to spew venom at me, especially since I don't deserve it. You are only encouraging the "choir rivalries" that everyone has been working so hard to be rid of lately, and should take a good hard look at yourself before accusing others of spreading ill-will throughout the choir.
To all the other choir members,
I love you guys to death; hope you had a wonderful holiday!
Much love,
Rebecca T.

so is this the junk that goes on at these forums? You guys should just chill and have fun in whatever choir you're in, don't let the little things bother you or your life is going to be pretty miserable. Keep working hard everyone and kick butt!

O.k. this is CRAZY you guys. i just graduated and i hate to see that THIS is what i left behind. Mr. Emig and Mrs. R. have given their ALL to teach you guys, and i KNOW they've taught you better than this. choir is about being a family. the rivalries need to stop and you guys need to work together as a tea. rebecca l's right....you guys have limited time together...PLEASE use it wisely. i'm not trying to come on here and sound like the proverbial "mom" by any means, but you guys are SO much better than this. I love you guys!!!

ok in recent events (that i've just read) i thought i would start a new thread just to say. that i would have to agree with tom d. this class rivalry is really driving people (and him) nuts. yes i will say some time other non VT choir members don't feel like they are being treated equally and some of the VT's are "acting" better then others. but what everyone has to take in mind is.

VT: think of when you weren't a VT you probably thought the same things we do. I think just about every one feels like that.

OTHER CHOIR MEMBERS: you have to realize that you are a good singer too. and try not to let the things others say about you (or how they say things good or bad intentually or not, get to you.)

and what eveyone needs to realize is we are not a good choir and i'm not just talking about VT. or COL. or VEL. or 6th or 5th periods i'm talking about MSH choir as a hole is not a GREAT choir if we can't get along and get over some of these petty little rivalrys. becauz if we could then we would be an even stronger choir and an even closer "family" which would make choir even funner, and more injoyable to all.

thats all i have to say and i hope all of you that read this take what i said into consideration.

You know...people are sure taking this way outta hand in my opinion. Someone mentioned this "arugment" in class and I came on here to see what the riff-raff was about. I read the comments and -wow- people sure are super touchy about these sorts of things. And being a Vocalteen myself, I don't view us as concited... b-c I know a lot of people that think "they suck" but i know maybe one or two peepz that think they are all that & you know what? OH WELL. If it reeeealllly bothers you THAT much, ask yourself: why? Let them shower themselves with compliments which may or may not be true. The truth is: we only have a lil while longer with eachother. And to the underclassmen that feel thought down upon: You will be a Vocalteen one day and then understand that we really (as a whole) don't look down on anyone. In fact, we love you! You guys are so much fun, talented, and basicly a bunch of great people. Anyhoo! Look at the time! I best be goin!
Wuv,
Rebecca L.
