I know I know... I'm overdue for an update. I've been working on putting together the online version of the fall concert, but it's still not ready. I think I'll try and get some Seussical photos set up over in the gallery pretty soon here too.

In the meantime, we're now featuring a vastly-improved search here on the site. Results should be much more accurate and searches which previously may have returned few or no results now return many. Try it out!

I'm working on getting some funds to hire help to run this crazy thing. It's really difficult to run a web site of this size by oneself. (especially when you're a lazy college student like me!)

Potluck Thank You

To everyone that participated in our annual potluck dinner at Pierce this year, many thanks for making this activity one of the successful efforts of our choir boosters. Mr. Festa and his booster members are to be congratulated on a fine job along with the student performers who shared with us their many talents.

Rehearsal Schedule for 9/27 and 10/4

In preparation for our October concert, Velveteens will practice dancing from 6-7 PM and singing with Mr. E from 7-8 PM; choir camp dances from 7 - 7:30 PM and Choralteens from 7:30 - 8:00 PM; Vocalteens will do their regular rehearsal from 6 - 9 PM. Please plan your arrival and departure to minimize hanging out at school with nothing to do.

at last... a new concert online

Tonight, I finished putting Saturday's "Welcome to Choir" Potluck online... I have photos + audio for everything but the barbershop quartet. If anyone has a photo of the barbershop quartet performing, please let me know. I'd be happy to give you a photo credit in exchange for letting me place your photo online.

Unfortunately, the audio from this concert did not turn out as well as I might have hoped. The sound system at Pierce is so terrible... noise reduction can only do so much to get rid of buzz + noise. Hopefully, we'll have this fixed up before next year's potluck.

I'm hoping to have a quick turn-around time like this for putting future concerts online. I guess we'll find out if I can keep this promise after the fall concert. Wink!

Booster Participation/Information Sheet

At the end of last week, a Booster flyer was sent home with the students listing all the Booster activities for the year. There was a tear off portion at the bottom of the page which paraticipating parents could fill out and return to school. If you did not get the sheet, please email me at remig@mvsc.k12.in.us and I will email you the form which you can then return if you are so inclined.

In an effort to narrow the gap of communication between the choral program and parents, Mrs. Reinhart and myself are attempting to send pertinent choir information to the parents over email. A sheet was sent home with the students requesting the email address and should be returned as soon as possible. If you did not get the information sheet, please call 650-5307, ext. 7012 and just leave a message containing your email address. All messages received will be placed on a bi-weekly notification list and you will receive the appropriate mailing.
